Your Trek Leader
I have 20 years' experience as a mountain leader both in HM Forces and later, as an instructor on the 1996 British Schools Exploring Society Namibia Expedition. In 1998 I successfully led a small party to the summit of Mont Blanc (see 'tab' at the top of this page for my story) . I have worked for a number of organisations as Expedition Leader on School and Gap year expeditions, taking me to Malawi in Africa and to Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, and Chile in South America as well as Romania and France. In the summer of 2011 I led a 4 week expedition to the Himachal Pradesh region of Northern India. After exploring the mountain regions of the Abruzzi and working as a volunteer in the Parco National D'Abruzzo I have now settled in this wild mountainous region of Italy. Here I guide groups in the Majella, Abruzzo and Gran Sasso National Parks as well as continuing to run trekking trips in the Italian Alps & Dolomites regions of Italy.
I am a full member of the British Association of International Mountain Leaders (BAIML) & Union of International Mountain Leaders Association (UIMLA).
