Dolomites Snowshoe Trekking
Winter 2011/12
This winter I am able to offer treks in the region of the Parco Naturale Paneveggio situated in the heart of the Southern Dolomites region adjacent to the village of San Martino di Castrozza. Located approximetely 60 kilometres from Trento at the foot of the Pala group of mountains this area offers magnificent scenery and treks against the backdrop of the snowy peaks of the Pala Di San Martino mountains.
Many of the walks start from the hotel taking you out of the village into nearby forests and follow gentle climbs up on to the ridges of the mountains surrounding the small town of Siror. Along the way there will be oppotunities to track Mountain Hare, Fox and Deer.
What is included in this 8 day trip:
Transfer by private mini bus from Venice's Marco Polo Airport (Dolomites)
Full board accommodation at the
Hotel Savoy, a 4 star hotel in San Martino di Castrozza.
6 Guided days out, exploring the mountains and forests in and around the National Park, on Snowshoes.
All specialist equipment – Snowshoes, Poles & Avalanche Transceiver.

Suitable for regular walkers. We are out for up to 7 hours with a maximum height gain of around 750 metres per day.
* denotes more challenging weeks with a height gain of up to 1,000 metres per day.
