Abruzzo Snowshoe Trekking Holidays 2012

Based in the small mountain town of Scanno, located on the northern edge of the National Park of Abruzzo. The park is home to wolf, deer, fox and many other animals. There are also over 100 Marsican Brown Bears, although they will be hibernating at this time of year. Scanno is also one of the villages visited by the artist Estelle Canziani on her 1928 tour of her ancestors homelands with her father. She recorded many myths and fairystories which relate to the very places we will visit on our treks.

Suitable for regular walkers. We are out for up to 7 hours with a maximum height gain of around 750 metres per day.
